Admission Requirements
We welcome students from diverse academic backgrounds. Admission criteria vary depending on your high school certificate and program chosen.
The Egyptian Secondary School Certificate ثانوية عامة ( Azhari – General – STEM )
- - Applicant should achieve the minimum percentage announced by the Supreme Council of Private Universities.
Secondary Certificate from Arab Countries
- - Applicant should achieve the minimum percentage announced by the Council of Private Universities.
American Diploma
- - 8 School subjects are required with at least 1 credit hour with an official transcript.
- - Subjects less than 1 credit are not accepted.
- - Subjects can be calculated from Grade 12, 11 or 10. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 4, maximum number of subjects from G11 is 4 and
maximum number of subjects to be calculated from G10 is 2. - - Students who spent (1, 2 or 3) academic years in the American Diploma system can apply to university in condition that they meet all requirements needed to join the desired faculty.
- - PE, music and religion are not counted.
- - SAT I, A.C.T or E.S.T minimum Score is 800; this is a passing grade and does not guarantee acceptance.
- - SAT II, A.C.T or E.S.T minimum accepted score is 900. Although it is optional to
sit for SAT, A.C.T. OR E.S.T. II, it is highly recommended as it gives the student
an extra bonus for the student’s overall percentage. - - SAT II(Math in addition to Biology – Chemistry - Physics Only) will be obligatory
for the student willing to join the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of
Computers Science & IT in case they did not study the Advanced Math in the
school subjects in grades 10, 11 or 12 (Please note that Languages as French and
subjects like history are not accepted in SATII).
I.G.C.S.E
- - 8 subjects are required for all the faculties.
For the School of Engineering and the School of Computers & Information Technology: Math ASL or AL is required in addition to the 8 OL subjects ،including Math O.Level. - - Minimum grade for the (OL) subjects is "C" or “4”
- - Minimum grade for the (ASL or AL) is "D" or “4"
- - Accepted grades must be taken from all exam sessions during the last 4 years as a maximum.
- - IGCSE (OL) subjects obtained from Arab Countries should be of the (extended), not of the (core) system.
Canadian High School Diploma
- - Applicants should pass 8 subjects, in addition to Advanced Math if they are willing to study in the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.
- - Subjects are calculated from Grade 12 & 11 only. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 5 in addition to Advanced Math; maximum number of subjects to be calculated from G11 is 3.
- - Subjects less than one credit are not accepted.
The International Baccalaureate. (IB)
- - Applicants must successfully complete 6 subjects including 3 higher level subjects
- - Applicants must pass the English Language to get accepted.
- - The Minimum score is 24 out of 45.
- - The Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge are required but not counted as one of the 6 required subjects.
- - Applicants must submit both the final certificate and the final graduation IB Diploma to be considered for admission.
- - Math (HL) & Physics (HL) are required for the engineering sector.
- - Biology (HL) & Chemistry (HL) are required for the medical sector & computer Science.
Abitur Certificate
- - Grade 12 must be completed.
- - The official transcript must include seven subjects, one of which is English language, with a minimum score of 3.
- - Only one subject from G10 may be counted, provided that it is a qualifying subject.
For Language Proficiency
- - English proficiency is required for all faculties.
- - TOEFL/IELTS or in-house placement test may apply.
Admission Requirements
For Egyptian Thanaweya Amma Graduates
- Minimum overall score determined annually by the university and the Supreme Council of Universities
- Program-specific subject requirements (e.g., Science for Medicine)
For International Applicants
- American Diploma: Minimum GPA + SAT/ACT requirements
- IGCSE: 8 O-Levels (including English and Math) + 1–2 AS/A Levels depending on faculty
- IB: Minimum total score and subject-specific requirements
For Language Proficiency
- English proficiency is required for most faculties.
- TOEFL/IELTS scores or in-house placement test may apply.
